20 indoor infrared saunas compared. The first thing to check isn't the heater type; it's which outlet you have: 8 run on a standard outlet, 9 need a dedicated 20-amp one, and 3 need 240V.
$2,599 on sale (list $5,199)
Plugs into the outlet most rooms already have. The sale price was half the list price when we checked; only 2 years of warranty are included.
Check price at JNH Lifestyles ↗$999 (site shows "compare at" $2,199)
One person, standard outlet, $999 when we checked. Only a 1-year warranty, and the "was" price on the page looks inflated.

Lifetime residential warranty, the longest we found, on a 2-person cabin that runs on a standard outlet.
Check price at Clearlight ↗$5,599 on sale (list $6,199)

JNH Lifestyles Tosi 2 (cedar), Dynamic Barcelona, SaunaSpace FireLight (Classic), Clearlight Sanctuary 1, Clearlight Premier IS-2, JNH Lifestyles Joyous 1, Peak Saunas Shasta, Health Mate Enrich 2
Two straight slots: the outlet most rooms already have.
Sunlighten mPulse Believe, Sunlighten Amplify II, Clearlight Sanctuary 2, Sun Home Solstice 2, Peak Saunas Everest 2, Maxxus Trinity 3 (dual tech), Maxxus 4-person hemlock (MX-K406), Health Mate Inspire 3, Sun Home Solstice 1
One slot is T-shaped, and the plug won't fit a 15A outlet. "Dedicated" means nothing else on that circuit.
Clearlight Sanctuary C (4-person corner), Peak Saunas Matterhorn, Sun Home Solstice 4
Some of the larger 3–4 person cabins. Plan on $250–$900 for the circuit.

Low EMF is a big selling point for infrared. We haven't measured anything, so here is exactly what each brand says:
| Sauna | EMF claim (brand's words) |
|---|---|
| Sunlighten mPulse Believe Infrared, indoor | Says third-party tested by Vitatech Electromagnetics |
| Sunlighten Amplify II Infrared, indoor | "Ultra-low EMF" (spec sheet) |
| Clearlight Sanctuary 2 Infrared, indoor | Says its heaters "cancel out both EMF and ELF" |
| JNH Lifestyles Tosi 2 (cedar) Infrared, indoor | Claims average 0.32 mG |
| Dynamic Barcelona Infrared, indoor | Claims 5–10 mG at 2–3" from panels |
| Sun Home Solstice 2 Infrared, indoor | "Ultra-low EMF" |
| SaunaSpace FireLight (Classic) Infrared, indoor | Says "Zero EMF exposure" |
| Peak Saunas Everest 2 Infrared, indoor | None stated |
| Clearlight Sanctuary 1 Infrared, indoor | 'our proprietary heaters cancel out both EMF and ELF' |
| Clearlight Sanctuary C (4-person corner) Infrared, indoor | 'our proprietary heaters cancel out both EMF and ELF, making them the safest on the market' |

Start with your outlet. On a standard 15A outlet: the JNH Tosi 2 for two people on a budget, or the Clearlight Premier IS-2 if you want a lifetime warranty. The cheapest we found is the one-person JNH Joyous 1 ($999 when we checked, 1-year warranty). With a dedicated 20A outlet, the Sun Home Solstice 2 and Peak Everest 2 publish prices and give 7 years.
Many do. Of the 20 indoor infrared saunas we compared, 8 run on a standard 15A outlet, 9 need a dedicated 120V / 20A circuit with a NEMA 5-20 plug, and 3 larger cabins need 240V. Check the model, not the brand: Clearlight's Premier IS-2 runs on 15A while its Sanctuary 2 needs 20A.
One with near, mid and far infrared heaters, rather than far infrared only. The heater column in our table shows which each sauna uses: some (like the Sun Home Solstice 2 and Dynamic Barcelona) are far infrared only, and SaunaSpace uses near-infrared bulbs.
We can't say. We list each brand's claim in its own words. Sunlighten names its tester (Vitatech Electromagnetics); most others give no testing details.
Each opened on 2 November 2026. Prices change often, especially around sales.
